Storyboards used for developing eLearning modules are a great way of communicating a design to clients, programmers and other stakeholders. It is a tool that allows your stakeholders and sponsors to view and provide any feedback on the story and content before going into production, which can often save time and money. After it is reviewed and approved, it serves as a blueprint for the developers/programmers to use and guide their development. Storyboards present a visual representation of design elements used in eLearning such as:

- Media
- Audio scripts
- Template/Screen Designs
- Sequencing/Chunking
